Celebrate Your Recent Marriage With A Mysterious Masquerade On A Yacht

Posted on: 18 January 2016

If you are holding a masquerade on a yacht so that your family members and friends can gather to celebrate your recent marriage, the following activities will help the party be one that is unique and enjoyable to everyone who attends.

A Masked Serenade

Profess your devotion and entertain your guests by serenading your loved one under the moonlight. Hire a small band to accompany you or play an instrument on your own if you are musically inclined. Keep your face covered and wear a dark-colored cloak to give yourself a mysterious appearance.

Have one of your family members instruct all of the guests to sit down on the yacht's deck. Hide in a discreet area while everyone is getting settled. Once the music begins, come out of hiding and do your best to sing the words that you have carefully prepared. Even if you are not a great singer, your spouse and guests will be impressed with your enthusiasm and creativity.

A Pinata With Prizes

Purchase a mask-themed pinata. Fill it with items such as party masks, face paint, feather boas, crowns, and other accessories that are often associated with masquerades. Purchase one or two larger gifts to place in the pinata, such as tickets to a play or dinner at an establishment that employs people who regularly perform a murder mystery.

Hang the pinata from a sturdy surface. Hang up some paper lanterns that will emit a soft, eerie glow. Allow your guests to take turns striking the pinata until all of the prizes have been collected.

A Guessing Game

Create some fake dummies by stuffing old, formal pieces of clothing with batting or cotton and attaching filled, water balloons to the neckline of each shirt or dress. Cover the balloons with masks and arrange the dummies in various areas around the yacht. Make sure that each dummy has a pair of shoes attached to it so that they all look natural. Instruct some of your family members and friends to sit in random areas without moving.

When guests arrive, tell them a creepy story about a ghost yacht and how some people have been missing at sea for many years. Have the guests walk around the yacht and try to identify who is real and who is fake. Time each guest and award a prize to whoever is able to identify all of the dummies in the shortest amount of time.

Your guests will likely enjoy the originality of the masquerade and the fact that it is being held on a yacht, far away from the normal hustle and bustle associated with everyday life. You and your new spouse can cherish the fun time and look back on it fondly in the future. For more information, consider contacting a professional like those at Scarlett Belle.
